Continuous Improvement
Champion Certification (CICC)

Lean Manufacturing is a business philosophy focused on improving productivity by maximizing value-added activities while eliminating waste.  Lean allows organizations to be more efficient and customer focused - better able to face the competitive challenges of the future.

Lean's foundation is the educational development of all employees throughout the organization.  The CONNSTEP Continuous Improvement Champion Certification (CICC) Program helps you develop the skills needed to implement Lean and create positive change within your company.

  • Acquire the Lean tools and learn how to use them;
  • Perform as a change agent;
  • Increase your value and become a valuable resource to your company through the CICC Program.

During this eleven-week course, you will learn how and where to start on your Lean journey.  Through a combination of classroom training, interactive simulation activities and the completion of a mentored, real-time project within your company, the CICC Program provides the knowledge and experience for you to take part in and lead Lean transformation efforts within your organization.

Attendees from past CICC sessions gained a better understanding of the Lean tools and methodologies so they could return to their operations and implement positive change.  With the on-site mentored project, participating companies have realized bottom-line results:

  • $150K in annual savings through the implementation of set-up reduction and batch-size reduction in the order entry process.  (75-employee paint & coating manufacturer)
  • Project implementing 5S, kanban and cellular manufacturing resulting in an inventory reduction of $350K. (50-employee machine tool manufacturer)
  • Set-up reduction of 30% or approximately 2,500 hours per year leading to a $125K annual savings in set-up time and labor;  sales increase potential of $400K per year.  (120-employee plastics manufacturer)
  • Introduction of one-piece flow improved work flow and led to a decrease in lead time by 48% and a reduction in inventory of $34K(140-employee metal stamping shop)

Due to the interactive approach and the mentoring interface each attendee is provided, the class size is restricted.  Register today and ensure your company spots before the class if filled.
